This exhibit was curated and produced by Fact & Fiction fellow Maddison Shutters. Receiving her Masters degree in English Literature at the University of Toledo, she was interested in connecting the ways that women's history, US war history, and print materials could all come together to tell a story. From the start of her fellowship in August 2020 through March 2021, she worked with various departments at the library to research and compile information from in-house periodicals, government documents, and Local History manuscript collections. Maddison's project was supervised by Rebecca Stanwick and Erin Connelly of Fact & Fiction, and she is very thankful for the help she received from Jill Clever and John Dewees in the Local History & Genealogy department.
